3 is a nice number. A magic number, if you will :)

Oi it's not easy to reply in GERMAN, you know. *mutters* Hell I still haven't replied. Whose fault is that? *smiles sweetly at Arilda*

Aria: *coldly* Well, it isn't -my- fault you can't seem to keep your wits about you long enough to figure out my history.

I am wounded, darling. Absolutely. *mock swoons* Heh ok. I disagree. I mean, I grew up listening to oldies (especially the Carpenters and Richard Clayderman) but I absolutely detest Clayderman and I'm not too hot about oldies. I mean, they're nice and classic and all but they tend to make me fall asleep...no kick, no challenge.

I agree about what people around you/people you hold in high esteem listen to, though. Peer pressure, and part of ai4 wu1 ji2 wu1, which is a chinese idiom for liking the things about the person cos you like a person. Um. It sounds odd put that way but yeah.

I definitely agree with the last, though. Even though I still don't like classical. Gah. Oh I think my mom was talking more about the "perform well" part..cos supposedly singing the song, especially a well-known one, supposedly reminds the audience of how it originally sounded..

Well, that was only an educated guess. (and for some reason, it always ends up that Christofori's Dream starts playing whenever I do anything at this website. Its like a message from God, or something).

And as for what I perform, I play percussion in the school band. I'm pretty good at it, and I generally like at least one of the three songs we play for a contest (this year I like 4 of the songs we play, we just started playing a different set of three today, although I don't understand the reasoning behind that, since there are only 4 or so weeks of school left.)

I found the perfect theme song for a friend of mine, but then I forgot what it was... and I have 9 and a half hours of music on my playlist to sift through...

No kick eh... what would you define as 'kick' or 'challenge'? I mean, if you're just listening to music... what challenge is there to speak of?

There is. The feeling you get of someone reaching amazing notes with an amazing voice (like Gackt sometimes ;)) or in some way engaging you..that's what I call kick. Sometimes I find myself trying to just listen to the bass or one section of the music...it gives a whole interesting spin on the whole experience.

And, dear, -that- is the reason I turn the volume up when I listen to my mp3 player. It's not loud, it's sound surround ;) Lets you hear a lot more things more clearly.

Lol out of 400+ songs..? The probability is, what -- ok ok I won't calculate it, we've enough of that during math, heh. You play percussion? That's really cool! I have a pretty bad sense of rhythm -- keep going faster/slower as I play, heh. Can't stick to one speed unless I have a metronome (which I hate) or someone to drum it/keep the rhythm. Ah well.

Ah I see... yeah I do that too. So does Maria, I think. She was raving the other day about some secondary school angklung group's SYF piece which had 5 or 6 layers of sound. And with angklung, that's quite a feat of coordination!
