Benjamin is a latent recently rescued by the Kalla from one of the Savant facilities. He has the Aspects of melody and movement, the latter of which was awakened first (when he was practising Kendo at his family's dojo) but which is secondary to Melody. His parents were not Kalla, though (unknown to him) his favourite uncle was. Ben is also either half or fully Japanese (depending on what you choose).
